MULCHES
Pine Chips
1- 2 pine bark chips. Good for putting in flat plant beds.
Red Dyed Hardwood Chips
1 ½ -2 ½ red dyed hardwood chips. Bright red color. One of our most popular materials.
Red Dyed Hardwood Mulch
Red dyed hardwood that is pulled apart to make it string like. Works great for areas on slope since the mulch clings to itself.
Pine Bark Mulch (fine)
Shredded pine bark into slender strings.
Pine Bark Mulch (rough)
Large pieces of bark and string pieces.
Looks great over large areas. Very natural look.
Brown Dyed Hardwood Chips
1 1/2 - 2 1/2 brown dyed hardwood chips
- dark chocolate color.
Black Dyed Hardwood Mulch
Dyed black hardwood that is pulled apart to make it string like. Works great for areas on slope since the mulch clings to itself.
Cypress Chips
1- 2 pure cypress chips
-lasts about 3 times longer than hardwoods and naturally deters bugs and insects. This is the very best material for playgrounds since it is a softer wood and less brittle than hardwoods.
Cypress Mulch
The pulp of the cypress tree is pulled apart to make it string-like. Lasts about 3 times longer than hardwoods and naturally deters bugs and insects. Cypress mulch is often used in place of chips in playgrounds where there is a significant amount of water run off because of the mulchs string characteristics allows it to cling together.
Playground Mulch - Woodcarpet / Playsafe
½ 1 ½ chipped hardwood. Certified for playgrounds (meets all current guidelines ADA, ASTM, CPSC, CSA).
Red Oak Mulch (light)
The wood fibers have a natural light red color (not dyed).
Oak bark that is pulled apart to make the mulch string like. Oak is the best mulch for flower beds because it decays into a moist compost (most golf courses use oak mulch for this reason). Oak mulch retains water the best of any mulch.
Red Oak Mulch (dark)
Same as the Red Oak Mulch (light) except it is brown instead of red.
Mix Mulch
All mulches piled together from when the bins are cleaned.
